My name is Paul MacKenzie and I am currently training to run the Toronto Waterfront Marathon being held in Toronto, Ontario on September 26 , 2010.
While I am training for my next race, my ultimate goal is to develop my practice of Running Samadhi. It is a goal which I hope will never end. Every trail is started by taking that first step and with one step at a time this journey is taking shape in so many wonderful ways.
The end of a race always provides a great feeling of accomplishment especially if I am able to run well and present. Running Samadhi summarizes the way I try to run every time I lace up my shoes. My favourite place to run is on the trails but any running surface provides the space to develop my practice.
I am grateful to be able to experience this journey and I thank all those who helped and continue to help me on this path. It truly — in its essence — represents a celebration of life and an intimate connection with all beings.
By running mindfully, I find I am able to be the following:
- a more efficient runner by focusing on my running technique;
- connected with the vibrant natural world all around us;
- I am able to have lots of fun…
I hope the tips and tricks that I share in this blog are somehow useful to other runners.
I work at Elehost Web Design Inc. as a Toronto Joomla Web Designer, Programmer and Developer.
I hope you enjoy your run!
